APH Holding has launched a $320 million healthcare development in Box Hill in Melbourne’s east, as part of a larger multi-billion-dollar healthcare precinct.

The privately-owned asset manager and investment firm will build a 20-storey medical building comprising 30,000 sqm of net lettable area at 12-24 Wellington Road.

The Wellington Health One property is due for completion in early 2024 and will have a 5-star Green Star energy rating environment.

It will feature a private health club, end-of-trip facilities and retail offerings including a pharmacy, upmarket food and beverage options and a café.

The Wellington Health One property will be the first in the Wellington Health precinct in Box Hill’s medical and education hub.

APH is partnering with public health service provider Eastern Health on the project.

“Wellington Health One, a centre of excellence for mental health and other healthcare services, will help address a crucial need for mental health support and community services that were particularly highlighted during COVID-19,” said Shalain Singh, Director, Healthcare and Commercial at APH Holding.

“We don’t just have a vision for Box Hill – we’re putting these plans into action.

“Our investment in Wellington Health One, with the support of our major partner Eastern Health, will kick off just one of many dedicated healthcare environments that we have planned for our Wellington Health precinct.

“These growth plans will create thousands of jobs, enhance community engagement, and provide a solution for some of the blockages currently within Victoria’s healthcare system, addressing supply and delivery service concerns across the eastern suburbs.

“Long-term, these environments will attract and retain the best healthcare service and lead innovation, delivering better patient outcomes.”
