BWH Hotels will open its first Aiden hotel in Western Australia in 2026, following the opening of its Aiden Darling Harbour hotel in Sydney last year.

Set to open mid-2026, the Aiden SCQ hotel in Perth will be an upper mid-scale hotel featuring a six-story building comprised of 80 hotel rooms and 40 apartments.

Located in West Perth, the hotel will have a rooftop bar and restaurant, conference and event spaces, outdoor event lawn and pool.

Located on the old site of City Motors, the hotel design will pay homage to the automotive and cultural histories of the site. Development and investment partner APPL Group will build the hotel.

The hotel is situated as the anchor tenant to the new-build, connected urban precinct, Sydney Charles Quarter (SCQ).

The precinct stage one will comprise six buildings including Aiden SCQ, residential apartments, co-living micro-apartments, commercial office space, a gourmet supermarket and retail, lifestyle and event spaces.

Construction on the interconnected urban village will commence in mid-2024 and completion is estimated mid-2026.

“Aiden’s extraordinary global success story continues with remarkable growth and high demand in the Australasian Region,” said Danilo Curcuruto, Director of Development at BWH Hotels Australasia.

“We’re excited to introduce this trendsetting lifestyle brand to the new, exciting precinct of Perth’s Sydney Charles Quarter, confident it will thrive and contribute to its remarkable journey.

Michelle Prater, Director of SCQ Pty Ltd, said the vision for SCQ was to create a vibrant modern connected village.

“The concept is unique and we’re looking forward to partnering with BWH Hotels to bring the Aiden brand to life in a way that’s exceptional to the precinct’s dynamic persona,” Ms Prater said.

Since the opening of Aiden Darling Harbour in February 2022, the Aiden brand has grown rapidly globally.

BWH Hotels said the brand had received international acclaim for its 14 properties located in the US, Germany, Austria, South Korea, France and Italy, with 30 Aiden properties recently opening in Scandinavia.
