Cushman & Wakefield has appointed Nick Charlton as Joint Head of Capital Markets WA amid a resurgence in the Perth office market.
Charlton brings 20 years of experience in commercial property sales to the role and will be based in the Perth office.
He will advise institutional and private clients on their acquisitions and disposal strategy within the metropolitan CBD area of Perth, alongside his colleague and fellow Joint Head of Capital Markets, Ben Younger, who joined the team in late 2022.
“2023 will prove to be an exciting year for the WA market, as Institutional investors are seeing the potential for rental growth and capital appreciation, making it an attractive investment destination,” Charlton said.
Mark Clapham, Cushman & Wakefield’s Joint Managing Director, WA said the Perth office market has seen a resurgence in recent years, driven by a strong economy and improved business sentiment.
“The government has made significant investments in infrastructure, which has helped to stimulate economic growth and create new business opportunities in Perth, making Nick and Ben’s appointment timely in an ever-evolving market,” Clapham said.

Earlier this month, Cushman & Wakefield appointed David Hall joins as National Director, Head of Brokerage Industrial & Logistics – ANZ and bolstered its Western Sydney team.
Other recent hires include LAWD recruiting Lukas Byrns as Director, Development Transactions & Advisory to expand the firm’s capacity in the development sector.
KordaMentha also recently expanded its Sydney Real Estate team with the appointments of Tony Massaro, Paul McNamara, and Nicholas Lucas to the firm’s Real Estate practice.
