• ISPT has appointed Luke Briscoe as Group Executive, Investor Solutions, where he will work closely with the leadership team to implement ISPT’s corporate strategy and ensure operations align with investor needs. Briscoe brings 25 years of investment management, leadership, customer engagement and portfolio management skills to the team, having worked at AMP Capital, Charter Hall and The GPT Group. 

 

  • NSW Government property developer Landcom has named former Transport for NSW and Macquarie Capital executive Alex Wendler as its new CEO. “Alex is an established leader in the property and infrastructure industry with experience in both the public and private sector,” Landcom Chair Peter Roberts said. “He has a track record of successfully developing projects in core Landcom business areas, having led urban renewal projects across the Transport cluster including city-changing precinct redevelopments at Sydney’s Central Station, Circular Quay, and Redfern North Eveleigh.” 

 

  • Pallas Capital has appointed Brad Gowenlock and Esther Fang as Partners to its Distribution team. Prior to joining the Pallas Capital team in Sydney, Gowenlock spent 30 years working in money markets across Sydney, Tokyo and Singapore, and most recently as Head of Rates of Tullett Prebon Australia. Melbourne-based Fang has extensive expertise working in fund management across Asia Pacific and an educational background in both finance and law.  

 

  • MaxCap Group has hired Adam Cook as director of its Direct Investment team, further bolstering its national presence. Cook joins MaxCap from Wingate Group where he was a director and prior to this he worked for Australian Unity as General Manager Commercial in their Retirement Village and Residential Aged Care division. He has more than 17 years of real estate investment and development experience across multiple asset classes.  

 

  • CBRE has tapped Darren Nugent to head its growing Office Occupier business in Australia and New Zealand. For the past 10 years, Nugent served as CBRE’s Hong Kong Executive Director of Office Advisory and Transaction Services. He joined CBRE in 2006 and has partnered closely with teams across all facets of CBRE’s business in the Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific. In his new Melbourne-based role as Regional Director, Advisory and Transaction Services – Office Occupier, Nugent will focus on strengthening and growing CBRE’s Occupier platform. 

 

  • Colliers has recruited experienced healthcare transaction specialist Ian Sanders as its new Head of Healthcare and Retirement Living. Sanders joins Colliers with more than 20 years of experience in the health sector, firstly in a service capacity through banking and finance and then in a governance capacity working with non-profits in the aged care sector. He was most recently a corporate and institutional finance business leader in roles as Head of Health at St George Bank and Director Corporate at NAB Health. 

 

  • Knight Frank has hired Francesco Demarco as Partner, Head of Global Portfolio Solutions in Australia. Demarco joins from Cushman and Wakefield, where he worked for more than seven years, and prior to that for two years at JLL. He has more than 10 years of experience in commercial real estate, working on behalf of occupiers. Based in Melbourne, Demarco will work closely with the global property consultancy’s Asia Pacific and GPS teams, leading all GPS activity in Australia and New Zealand. 

 

  • JLL has promoted its Head of CBD Office Leasing- NSW, Will Hamilton, to Head of Office Leasing – NSW. Hamilton has more than 13 years of experience in the property industry and joined JLL Office Leasing in 2015. He relocated to Singapore with JLL in 2018, where he was responsible for the management of over 160,000 square metres of leased and owned real estate across Asia Pacific on behalf of global corporate occupier clients. Since returning to the NSW Office Leasing team in 2019, he has led major leasing appointments across the CBD and North Sydney.  

 

  • CDC Property Consultancy has commenced operations in Melbourne and Sydney, joined by Bruce Corrin and Billy Dawes. Corrin joins after 7 years as a Partner at KPMG SGA and 12 years as Director of SGA Property Consultancy. Corrin is a Chartered Building Surveyor with more than 30 years of industry experience gained in the UK, New Zealand and Australia. Dawes served 4 years as a Director at KPMG SGA. Dawes is a Chartered Building Surveyor with more than 15 years industry experience.  

 

  • Propic has appointed former McGrath Head of MarTech, Ryan Campbell to a new role as Head of Innovation. Campbell has spent 25 years serving the real estate industry in various agency-based roles, including LJ Hooker and REI Portal before McGrath. The new Head of Innovation will report to the CEO and will look at product development and work with clients to create digitised proptech solutions.
