- ISPT has named Chris Chapple as its next CEO, following Daryl Browning’s decision to step down from the role in February. Chapple is the CEO of 151 Property Group, which manages Blackstone’s real estate investments in Australia and New Zealand. He brings 25 years of property industry experience, having held roles at JLL, Multiplex and Charter Hall. Chapple was appointed CEO of 151 Property in 2016 and has developed its ANZ business and transformed its real estate platform over the past six years.
- CBRE has appointed Andrew Purdon to a newly created Pacific role as Regional Director – Living Sectors, Capital Markets, to drive the firm’s service offering in the build-to-rent (BTR), purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) and co-living sectors. Based in Sydney, Purdon will build a dedicated Pacific Capital Markets team to provide development and investment advice to landowners, developers, and investors at all stages of the project lifecycle. He has worked in senior roles in CBRE’s UK Development and Residential Capital Markets team for over 10 years and was most recently the UK Head of Co-Living Transactions.
- Savills has bolstered its hotels team in Brisbane with the appointment of Kath Brassington as Associate Director. With 25 years of experience in the liquor industry, Brassington most recently helped launch Oatley Fine Wine Merchants, where she worked in various roles including Key Account Manager and Sales Manager. She has held roles at Rosemount Estate Wines with the Oatley Family, as well as Southcorp Wines and Fosters Group.
- Colliers has hired Nik Potter as Associate Director | Research in its Sydney CBD office. Potter will lead their National Retail research capabilities, collaborating closely with the National Retail Investments, Retail Leasing, Retail REMS and Retail Valuations and Advisory business lines. Previous experience includes working in an Asset and Development Manager role for a major local institution, working across several retail assets in Australia and also in a Property and Research Analyst role for a major retail owner in London.
- Land, Agribusiness, Water & Development (LAWD) has named Andrew Graham and Sam Julian as the first in a series of new key appointments in its recently launched Sydney office. Graham has spent more than 30 years working across a range of asset classes in metropolitan NSW and major regional centres, and acts as an Associate and NSW Divisional Council Member of the Australian Property Institute (API). Graham is joined by Julian, who has more than seven years of experience working in large valuations firms in the agriculture sector and across a variety of rural property types.
- Taylor has expanded its Industrial team after recruiting Metin Tokcan as Construction Manager. Tokcan brings 15 years of experience in commercial and industrial construction experience, having joined Taylor from Hansen Yuncken and previously worked at CIP (ESR Australia) and Lendlease. Tokcan joins Jerry Fanos, who joined Taylor as the new General Manager Industrial in January this year, and Taylor’s Pre-Construction Manager Daniel Bacic, who had been with Taylor for approximately seven years.
