Australia’s homegrown flexible working provider Hub Australia will almost triple the size of its flexible workspace footprint in Adelaide by moving to the historic Pirie House.
The new Hub Adelaide at 89 Pirie Street will be the city’s most upmarket flex space, complete with sophisticated amenities, future-ready technology and top-of-the-industry lifestyle facilities when it opens in October 2021.
Hub Adelaide will open the doors to approximately 350 members across almost 2,000 square metres of premium flexible workspace.
The workspace provider is expanding from its existing 760 square metres of space at 5 Peel St, which caters for 150 members, in response to increasing demand for flexible workspaces in Adelaide.
Large, blue-chip corporates have already expressed interest in the new site, where other notable Hub Adelaide members including PEXA and Xero will move in September.
These businesses will work side-by-side with local South Australian businesses, which have always been the foundation of Hub Adelaide’s business community.
Hub Australia founder and cheif executive Brad Krauskopf said the company’s existing space has been happily occupied at full capacity every year since opening in 2013, so they know Hub’s flexible product and hospitality-led service is well received by the Adelaide market.
“We’ve seen a spike in inquiry for flexible workspaces as employee demands evolved since the onset of COVID-19, so we’re driving an expansion that will deliver best-in-business amenities across three storeys in the beating heart of Adelaide,” he said.
“It’s an exciting time for Hub and also Adelaide, as we create one of the largest premium flex spaces in the city. From scaling start-ups to larger corporates, Adelaide executives are recognising they need to embrace flexible workspaces to attract and retain talented staff – we believe that offering them a future-ready, premium workspace will help achieve this.”
Hub’s revamped Adelaide home is set behind Pirie House’s 1878 heritage facade, which has recently undergone a multimillion-dollar refit by landlord and builder, Pelligra Group.
Pelligra Group and Hub have entered an innovative partnership under a hybrid lease arrangement, which sees Hub manage broad building amenity including the cafe and service meeting spaces.
