- Australian Unity has named Parag Shinde as National Manager – ESG to strengthen its commitment to sustainability across its property business. Based in Sydney, Shinde will be responsible for leading and implementing a best-in-class ESG approach across Australian Unity’s portfolio of listed and unlisted commercial properties. As a senior sustainability, energy, and climate change leader, Shinde has led the delivery of ESG and sustainability strategies for Property NSW, Bouygues Construction and MIRVAC Group. He was most recently Senior Manager, Energy and Sustainability at Property NSW.
- Knight Frank has appointed Jenine Cranston as National Head of ESG, bringing more than 30 years of experience in the industry. Cranston previously held senior leadership client-facing roles at CBRE and Colliers. Well regarded in the real estate industry, Cranston recently completed a sustainability and circular economy qualification at Cambridge University. “Jenine’s focus will be on developing and implementing meaningful ESG strategies to help Knight Frank Australia elevate our sustainability profile, create great outcomes and enhance our investment decisions for our partners,” said Knight Frank Chief Executive Officer James Patterson.
- The GPT Group has appointed Antony Roberts to General Manager, Flexible Workspace Solutions at Space&Co. Roberts joins the team with senior leadership experience across the hospitality and retail industries in Australia, the United Kingdom and Canada. He was previously National Valet Experience Manager for Scentre Group. GPT also recently announced the promotion of Martin Ritchie to Head of Office. Ritchie has 30 years’ experience in the Office sector and has grown the GPT Wholesale Office Fund (GWOF) to be the largest wholesale office fund in Australia. In his new role, Ritchie will lead the Group’s direct investments in the Office sector and also retain oversight of GWOF.
- CBRE has bolstered its Valuation & Advisory Services – Alternative Assets business after appointing Dylan Adams as National Director – Alternative Assets. Adams will be based in Sydney and will be joined by new recruits Emily Quick and Jack Seymour. Adams has more than a decade of experience in valuations, including spending the past five years with Colliers, where he headed up the alternative assets team nationally as Director of Specialisations.
- Colliers has set up a new national build-to-rent (BTR) team to be based in Melbourne and led by National Directors Robert Papaleo and Jozef Dickinson. The National Directors will work with dedicated BTR experts on the ground in every state market. “To date, Melbourne and Sydney have been the two key BTR investment destinations with increasing signals that Brisbane will also emerge as a meaningful market,” Dickinson said.
- CBRE has also appointed Jack McCormack to Manager, Advisory & Transaction Services, Industrial & Logistics in its Sunshine Coast Industrial and Logistics leasing team. McCormack joined CBRE from Colliers, where he was an Industrial Sales and Leasing Executive based in Brisbane. He joined the Colliers Brisbane office in 2018, with a focus on industrial assets in Brisbane’s southwest industrial corridor. Prior to Colliers, he held accountancy roles with Prosperity Advisors and Mobbs and Company.
- Cam Zamora has joined Savills’ Victorian CBD and Metropolitan Sales team as Associate Director. Zamora comes with more than 10 years’ experience in Melbourne’s property markets, specialising in commercial investments, land and development site sales, site acquisitions and property development. Most recently, he worked within his own business, Zamora Property and Real Estate. The new Associate Director joins with a strong variety of client-relationships spanning from ASX-listed companies and high-net-worth private developers to local landowners and other industry leaders.
- Stonebridge Property Group has bolstered its National Investment Sales team with the appointment of Michael Collins as Partner. Collins recently spent five years as Head of National Investment Sales at Cushman & Wakefield and was responsible for establishing the Portfolio Auction and sales platform.
- Knight Frank is launching a new Gold Coast office, headed by George Parzis and Abel Erasmus who joined the company from NAI Harcourts. Parzis has run commercial agencies including Property One Commercial, Harcourts Broadwater and NAI Harcourts in Melbourne and the Gold Coast since 2000. Erasmus previously worked as the CEO of an unlisted property investment fund in South Africa, where he repositioned under-performing assets and oversaw the disposal of the fund. Since 2017, Erasmus has overseen the management of a diverse group of assets on the Gold Coast from small industrial sheds to retail shopping centres, as a part owner of NAI Harcourts Gold Coast.
