Australia’s largest solar energy company, Bell Solar, has signed a three-year lease at 100 Holbeche Road in Arndell Park in western Sydney.

The renewable energy company, which trades as SunBoost, secured the 9,418sqm facility in the Goodman Group-owned Gateway Industrial Estate –  rents in Arndell Park average $120 to $125 per square metre.

The move will be an upsize for Bell Solar, which had its previous headquarters split across 2,000sqm of warehouse and office space in Seven Hills.

The modern, freestanding Arndell Park industrial warehouse features internal clearance of up to 10.6m with covered access from two sides and offers light-filled office space is split across two floors.

Located just off the Great Western Highway, the Gateway Industrial Estate facility also provides easy access to the M4 and M7.

CBRE’s John Micallef, Moshe Greengarten and Cameron Grier negotiated the tenancy on behalf of Goodman Group.

“Bell Solar was initially looking for about 3,000sqm, but ultimately decided this significantly larger property was a perfect fit for its forecast growth,” Mr Micallef said.

“It will consolidate multiple operations within its new headquarters, while Gateway Industrial Estate’s location near Blacktown was another drawcard based on the location of its staff and customer base.”

Bell Solar’s lease follows electronic retailer, Factory Seconds, leasing a 3078sqm warehouse at 2/36-42 Orange Grove Road from Soar Developments.

The ex-Schweppes manufacturing facility was leased at a budget rental of $225,000 gross on a three-year lease with options.

Infrastructure products distributor Jaybro also leased a 2433-square-metre warehouse on an 11,097sqm property at 60 O’Connell Street.

The distribution business is shifting part of its operation from St Marys, taking on the facility on a five-year lease for an annual net rent of $540,000.

Stavros Davelis also leased a 127-square-metre retail site at 1/19 Campbell Street from Town Centre Pty Ltd for $433.07 per square metre.

The lease term is five years plus a five-year option.
